Magical Days at Burrage Mansion

Magical Days are special events held at the Burrage Mansion several times throughout the year. These enchanting galas are designed to bring love, hope, excitement and joy back into the lives of children who are experiencing crisis. These are kids who are facing a serious illness or who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling—all heart breaking stories. While we can’t erase the pain or suffering that has impacted their lives, we can offer these special children and their families a day full of joy and magic and happiness.  Families are nominated from within the community who have social, economic or health related crisis.

Karen Clements of Main Stream Events and PR Firm volunteered her time to be a part of this magical day.  Main Stream Events and PR Firm believes in giving back to their community and Mansion Memories is one of the organizations that they volunteer several times a year for.

More about Mansion Memories:

How Do We Select Our Families? Families are nominated from within the community who have social, economic or health related crisis. Please note: Due to limited space and our goal to serve as many families in crisis as possible, we cannot accommodate grandparents, aunt, uncles, cousins or friends at the Magical Day. Only Nominees selected to participate and their immediate family members may attend the Magical Day event.

How To Get Involved? We typically have over 150 volunteers to make these events a reality. From decorating to food preparation to the final clean up, our amazing volunteer workers are a crucial component to our success. Volunteer opportunities will be announced as needed for each event.

Redlands Conservancy

Main Stream Events and PR Firm had the privilege to volunteer at a fabulous dinner to benefit Redlands Conservancy. Combine a tour of an elegant historic home with a delicious dinner and an exciting Silent Auction, all on a late summer evening, and the scene was set for Redlands Conservancy’s 2016 Annual Social. That’s been the formula for 23 years, and it has brought together the Conservancy’s mission of preserving historic buildings with a passion for having fun.

Since the Bottenberg house was built in 1900 for Mrs. Helen Bates by Davis Donald, the Victorian house has had only five owners including Peter and Michele Bottenberg who took over from the fourth owners, Bill and Mary Bottenberg. With six bedrooms and five baths, and a servant’s quarters, the house has a massive presence at the corner of South Center Street and Clifton Avenue. According to the Bottenbergs, it has never had significant remodeling and retains the original woodwork and most of the original lighting.

Chef Malissa Grinnals of Dining In-Style Personal Chef Service provided the fully catered dinner for the third year in a row, following rave reviews from guests. The main dish choices were tri-tip and vegetable stack and I must say, everything was amazing.

4th of July Celebrations

Everyone loves the 4th of July especially, Karen of Main Stream Events and PR Firm.  Karen grew up with her dad's birthday on that day and she still finds the fireworks every year.   As an adult, we love to celebrate with parties and picnics and find a way to see the fireworks. Grabbing a picnic basket is always a fun way to celebrate and this was an inspired photo shoot where we have planned many picnics for special couples.  Another option is cheese, fruit, crackers and of course your favorite beverage.

Main Stream Events and PR Firm has more great ideas for small parties all the way up to large corporate picnics.

If you ever have the chance to go to Nashville, TN, they offer the best fireworks we have ever seen.   An amazing showcase.

Oranges as Your Focus

Why is it that people love oranges? Just look at these. Oranges are natural and beautiful when displayed and they taste great as a garnish, by itself or to cook with.  Why not decorate your table with homegrown California Oranges.

The History of the Fox:

"The Redlands Fox was built in 1927 and opened officially on December 28, 1928 withcelebrities in attendance from Hollywood. The film shown at the time was Laurel & Hardy in “Habeas Corpus“.  Also,  “Naughty Baby” starring Alice White and Jack Mulhall andVaudeville shows were featured there. Shortly thereafter, the silent movies started with the Wurlitzer organ in place. Then the talkies began and the Fox went through many changes.  The biggest change was to a multi-plex cinema.  In the 40’s, the backstage of the theatre was walled out to make 2 multiplex cinemas and the original theatre was no more.

During the last 30 years, the theater has been totally unavailable to the public. For the first time in all those years, the theatre is finally open and the public is elated. Several times a day, drop-in's come in and are filled with nostalgia as they remember their youth, smoking in the balcony, or snuggling with their date, or hanging out with the guys. Redlanders are thrilled to be reunited with their beloved theatre.

The Fox was built in a Spanish Colonial Revival style and maintains its integrity in the lobbies upstairs and downstairs, which were lovingly restored.  The “Ballroom” is now a banquet facility with crystal and wrought iron chandeliers, specialty lighting, with an acoustically superior sound system.  The room is draped with red velvet and gold with draped mirrors and the original praesidium. The downstairs seating was all removed and the floor was leveled and turned into a ballroom that seats 400 people comfortably and 700 standing for concerts.

Our Venue isnow being booked regularly for weddings and wedding receptions, birthday parties for all ages, class reunions, high school proms & winter formals, Fundraisers, Fashion Shows, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Quinceañeras, Film Festivals, Memorials, and Holiday Events.

We welcome you to come and take a tour of the Historic Fox Theatre at 123 Cajon, and take a leisurely stroll through the nostalgic past, booking your heart‘s desire. Drop by to attend fundraisers and film fests,  and breathe in the air of Redland's history. We await your visit."
