USS Cole Reunion

Main Stream Events and PR Firm had the honor of co-coordinating a special 15-year reunion to honor the members and their families of the USS Cole.  If you recall it was bombed October 12, 2000 and we came together for the fellowship and remembrance of the day and fallen soldiers. This was a night to remember.

Virginia Sports Hall of Fame was an outstanding venue choice.  They offer a great venue, sports gallery, movie theater, classroom where we used as a child care room.  Jason was fabulous to work with and everything was perfect.

Marcus Matthews of Astro Entertainment was the DJ selected by co-organizer Loretta Ferretti and a close personal friend so we were honored that he was available for the evening.

Roger Browns Restaurant and Sports Bar catered the event and the food was outstanding.

Decor was supplied by Main Stream Events and PR Firm and we picked up a dance floor by Grand Rental Station in Newport News and we built it ourselves.   

Loretta Ferretti was an amazing co-organizer because she was on board at the time of the bombing and this was very close to her to make this event happen.

Main Stream Events and PR Firm came together and worked as a great time.  Thanks Kelly, Loretta, Chris, Allix and Erynn.

The Salvation Army Mobile Canteen

Karen Clements, Founder of Main Stream Events and PR Firm enjoys helping the community and as she serves on The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary Board she goes out when she can to serve the community in The Salvation Army Mobile Canteen.

Sherwood High 30 Year Class Reunion

Class of 1985 was the year from Olney/Sandy Spring, MD and 30 years later, they meet again at one of their classmates and owner of the coolest sports bar in Arlington, VA-- Bracket Room. Jeff Greenberg was a gracious host.  Main Stream Events and PR Firm handled the logistics and classmates from 1981-1987 came together.

Hospital Ground Breaking

Main Stream Events and PR Firm coordinates a ground breaking for Bon Secours and their newest building coming in 2016 to Suffolk: A new medical plaza that features advanced, compassionate cancer care!  

The new building will feature over 58,000 square feet of medical office space, including a comprehensive outpatient cancer institute. Suffolk Mayor Linda Johnson and Bon Secours Hampton Roads CEO Michael Kerner.  Kevin Barr, CEO of Bon Secours Ambulatory Services, Michael Kerner and the Honorable Linda Johnson along with many supporters and employees of Bon Secours.

A shout out to our team of awesome vendors.

Big Top Entertainment provided the tent, flooring, stage, astro turf, chairs, podium and always a pleasure to work with their team.  They are awesome!

Gourmet Gang provided the amazing food from Smoked Salmon Dill Bites, Bagel Bites, Quiches, Assorted Danish, Cheese and Fruit Platters, Muffins and had to mention the Strawberry, Watermelon, Rosemary Infused Water was delicious.

Jeff Bristow of Colonial DJ's provided the PA System and the background music.

Bon Secours Blessing/Ribbon Cutting at Grassfield Location

Main Stream Events and PR Firm had the privilege of coordinating a blessing/ribbon cutting today for Bon Secours newest location in Chesapeake, VA.

Thank you to  Farm Fresh Supermarkets for the beautiful floral arrangement and tasty treats.  Another shout out was Quiznos Grassfield for their wraps.

Company Picnic at Virginia Zoological Park in Norfolk, VA

As summer comes to an end, Main Stream Events and PR Firm coordinates a company picnic at Virginia Zoological Park in Norfolk, VA. 

The Garden Tent tucked in the back of the zoo was the perfect location for a quiet company picnic.   We were set up with a picnic buffet, ice cream, cookies, and cold beverages for all ages.  We had a scavenger hunt that and animals from the zoo up close.

Kurt from Astro Entertainment was the DJ and he kept them playing games, trivia, dancing and just relaxing to the music after a long summer.

Catering was done by the Zoo On-site Catering  and it was tasty.

Everyone had a great time and it was the perfect day.  Blue Sky, a few clouds and in the 80's.

Kelly Hall and Ashley Clements were great assistants for the day.

Family Reunions are a blast

Family reunions are a blast especially when they are your family.    We have had several family reunions the past 15 years and we enjoy seeing everyone that can attend.   We have many family members in AZ, CA, NV, NY, TX, UT, and VA and love it when anyone can travel and catch up. We had 17 family members join us this August.

Main Stream Events and PR Firm welcomes Fox Banquet and Event Center

Main Stream Events and PR Firm welcomes Fox Banquet and Event Center as a Preferred Vendors.   They are in the heart of Redlands, CA and a venue that will hold up to 300 seated guests and 700 total capacity with 6500 square feet of space, 1200 square feet of lower space and upper lobby. The History of the Fox:

"The Redlands Fox was built in 1927 and opened officially on December 28, 1928 withcelebrities in attendance from Hollywood. The film shown at the time was Laurel & Hardy in “Habeas Corpus“.  Also,  “Naughty Baby” starring Alice White and Jack Mulhall andVaudeville shows were featured there. Shortly thereafter, the silent movies started with the Wurlitzer organ in place. Then the talkies began and the Fox went through many changes.  The biggest change was to a multi-plex cinema.  In the 40’s, the backstage of the theatre was walled out to make 2 multiplex cinemas and the original theatre was no more.

During the last 30 years, the theater has been totally unavailable to the public. For the first time in all those years, the theatre is finally open and the public is elated. Several times a day, drop-in's come in and are filled with nostalgia as they remember their youth, smoking in the balcony, or snuggling with their date, or hanging out with the guys. Redlanders are thrilled to be reunited with their beloved theatre.

The Fox was built in a Spanish Colonial Revival style and maintains its integrity in the lobbies upstairs and downstairs, which were lovingly restored.  The “Ballroom” is now a banquet facility with crystal and wrought iron chandeliers, specialty lighting, with an acoustically superior sound system.  The room is draped with red velvet and gold with draped mirrors and the original praesidium.The downstairs seating was all removed and the floor was leveled and turned into a ballroom that seats 400 people comfortably and 700 standing for concerts.

Our Venue isnow being booked regularly for weddings and wedding receptions, birthday parties for all ages, class reunions, high school proms & winter formals, Fundraisers, Fashion Shows, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Quinceañeras, Film Festivals, Memorials, and Holiday Events.

We welcome you to come and take a tour of the Historic Fox Theatre at 123 Cajon, and take a leisurely stroll through the nostalgic past, booking your heart‘s desire. Drop by to attend fundraisers and film fests,  and breathe in the air of Redland's history. We await your visit."
